CPAP Machines

Is a prescription needed for a CPAP machine?
If you are to use a CPAP machine
(BiLevel or Auto CPAP), you need to present a prescription from your
physician. When diagnosing OSA, your doctor usually conducts a sleep
study. A copy of the results of the sleep study would determine the
right level of air pressure when using a CPAP device.
It is important to note, that a sleep study is not enough documentation to obtain a CPAP machine, you need a signed prescription from your doctor.
